Partly due to the positive experience with working from home during the Corona epidemic, it has become a challenge for many entrepreneurs to get their employees back to the office. The advantage of not having to travel and more flexibility in organizing your working day ensure that many employees prefer working from home to a day at the office. How can you now entice employees to come to the office?

CLUBHOUSE OFFICE IN THE MELKHAL ENSCHEDE

First of all, by making good considerations together about what is most attractive, practical and efficient for the organisation and the employees. After all, employees are the capital of many companies and they contribute to the success of the company. And for many companies it is valuable that employees are in the office a few days a week; for knowledge transfer, team building, working together and celebrating successes together, etc. Then offering an inviting and inspiring working environment, of course in addition to the location and good accessibility (public transport) of the office. A well-designed working environment is attractive to employees and relations; there is a variety of work and meeting places in an inviting environment in which everything is right; a correct and healthy indoor climate; good acoustics; sufficient privacy, innovative, sustainable, lots of greenery and of course attention must also be paid to the inner person. M+R has extensive experience in creating the right working environment, a good example is the recently completed clubhouse office for BDO in the old Melkhal in Enschede:

For the new work location in the province of Overijssel, BDO Accountants & adviseurs rents a beautiful space in the Oude Melkhal in Enschede. For this striking factory space, M+R has developed a club-like office concept in close collaboration with BDO employees. The ‘industrial’ space with the trusses and wooden parts has been left untouched by creating the work spaces, where acoustic boundary conditions apply, using a special box-in-box construction. In this way, a landscape has been created with closed and open spaces, with a variety of work places, depending on the desire to work in a concentrated manner or in a team. The entrance to the work space has been designed as a clubhouse, a dining-work café with kitchen; bar; seating and relaxation facilities. M+R developed a special look & feel for this location, in which the theme of past, present and future has been translated into specially designed carpets and photo walls; each space has its own theme: such as textile upholstery Bombazijn; the steam engine Agneta; the dairy factory Ormet and the future lab with the theme technology and artificial intelligence. Because M+R has signed for both the architecture, the interior, the colours and materials as well as the wayfinding and thematic decoration, it has become one total concept; a unique appearance of the building especially for BDO. The first experiences of the employees are positive, they are proud of the office and its appearance, given the occupancy of the office, people like to come and work here.
