The imposing ceiling is a representation of El Lissitzky's supremacist style which he called PROUN; the stage at which someone changes from painting to architecture.
The new terminal of Sheremetyevo International Airport is designed in the Russian Constructivist style. We have selected well-known Russian artists for the design of the business lounges. For this lounge we were inspired by El Lissitzky. The imposing ceiling is a representation of El Lissitzky's supremacist style which he called PROUN; the stage at which someone changes from painting to architecture. By incorporating the architectural columns into the ceiling design, we were able to divide the lounge into zones. By installing a large mirror wall at the end of the lounge, the movement becomes infinite. In reference to El Lissitzky's painting, Victory over the Sun, Alles ist bien was good начинается et hat no finita (All is good, that begins well and has no end).
